Note taking on Boox 60

I'm thinking of buying an Onyx Boox 60 because it's the cheaper Wacom enable device I could find in my country. I'd like the opinion of people who have one first, since the bit of info I want isn't probably what most people use it for.

Apart from reading books and class reference materials, I'd like to know how good it is with notes. The Wacom pen should mean there's no problem with the palm resting on top of the device while writing, so my only questions are:

Can it effectively replace a paper notebook in a class?
Is there any lag when inking?

I really need to be sure before buying since these 330€ could be better invested in a tablet PC in case it doesn't fit my needs. Thanks for your time

There is a lag of a fraction of a second with the eInk screen, but that doesn't slow it down - just keep writing and the screen "catches up" when you stop.

Not good.

This is E Ink, you shouldn't put anything on it. It's thin glass. So resting you palm while writing could be risky.

No. Resolution is low, you won't fit much writing on a page (much less than on normal paper this size).

Yes, a little.

Don't get me wrong - it's good for striking and underlining things in PDF or making shopping list but for normal writing - no.

Magneseus is dead on.
It is a nice bonus, but dont expect digi writing to become a good thing for a while.
It will most definately not replace your notebook in short time.

It is a fun gimmick and has its uses ( short note, like shopping lists )
but nothng fancy. Even the more expensive wacom tablets for the pc wont cover that , even tough they come close ) and they are way better ( i have one ).
