It was 40 degrees Celsius today in the shade. We had the power go out as well. I can't wait to get to Canada for the beautiful Canadian fall and winter!

I just had a crazy mystical experience. I was driving out of a rain shower and saw something shimmering in the air up ahead. It was the end of a rainbow, and I DROVE RIGHT THROUGH IT! I didn't know that was even possible. As I passed through it the colors just sort of passed across the windshield and surrounded the car for a second. I was awestruck.

Wow! I've driven under the arch of a rainbow spanning a road, but never through one! Double wow! |

Even when I google it now there are some scientific explanations about why it is NOT possible. But it looked like a forcefield across the entire (narrow) road, and the colors shimmered across the windshield as I drove through. And nothing visible in the rear view mirror as I drove out of the rain, by the way, which makes sense because I'm pretty sure you can only see a rainbow from one side. A once in a lifetime experience, I think, and I was all by myself!

I know a lot of people who did that in the 60's and 70's.

Finally! It is only 81F (27C), after being 104F (40C) today, and cool enough to think of going to bed. It is suppose to be 106F (41C) the next two days - I think I love the person who invented air conditioning.

Oscillating fans, ceiling fans, AND a/c.
It's lunch time and only about 100F so far. Hey, that is cool compared to what it will be later. Humidity is 19% and hot winds are 5 - 10 mph. Thank goodness our humidity is not like yours, pooh. |
