select single book - why 2 convert options

do they use different settings ( for a single book ) ?

I wasn't in on the meeting, but I'll venture a guess. It was easier placing both options in a sub-menu rather then writing code to determine if the user had selected a single book or multiple books.

Actually that code is and has been in place...

That right click option uses the existing menu used for the convert tool bar icon. If you click the convert tool bar button it will check the number of books selected and give you the bulk conversion screen if you have more than one selected. The choice is there because some users might want to configure individual options for each book. So if you select multiple books and choose convert individual it will open a convert dialog for each book one after another. By allowing this option it only seemed natural to have the bulk conversion option available too.

so why does it ask me to choose from individual or bulk if I have only selected one book ?

right click on one book title in main window- scroll down the right click options list to convert books (C)... a sub menu appears & I have to make a choice...

Right click gives you all options. Clicking the tool bar convert button will cause it to choose for you based on the numbr of books selected.
