I believe this first one was posted back in September in the 2014 thread, but the followup collection doesn't appear to have been posted so I thought I'd share both:

Stars & Empire: 10 Galactic Tales $0.99
Quote:
Humanity wasn't built for peace. Not on Earth. Not in space. Not on other worlds. Join first colonizers, space marines and rebel forces as they battle for domination against separate factions, alien nations and, sometimes, themselves across the galaxies.

10 of the most recognizable names in space opera today bring you a value-packed bundle like no other, containing everything from full-length novels to tantalizing episode starts to popular serials. The same works you see right on Amazon's bestseller lists.

About 2200 pages of rocket-fueled adventure!

BONUS:
Most of the authors have provided special content — from deleted scenes to complete short stories — you won't find anywhere else!

This LIMITED-EDITION bundle includes:

Marines (Crimson Worlds 1) - Jay Allan
Pennsylvania: Book 1 - Michael Bunker
Omega Rising (Omega Force 1) - Joshua Dalzelle
Forever Gate: Part 1 - Isaac Hooke
The Empire's Corps - Christopher G. Nuttall
Rebel - Edward W. Robertson
Dark Space: Book 1 - Jasper T. Scott
The Terran Gambit (Episode #1: The Pax Humana Saga) - Endi Webb
The Synchronicity War: Part I - Dietmar Arthur Wehr
Galactic Empire Wars: Destruction - Raymond L. Weil
Stars & Empire: 10 More Galactic Tales $0.99
Quote:
Conflict and war. They have followed humanity throughout history, and space is no exception. Empires rise and fall, soldiers pour their blood into the sands of alien worlds, grim adventurers explore the edges of the universe, and epic battles decide the fate of millions.

The follow-up to the USA Today bestselling STARS & EMPIRE bundle, this limited-edition second volume features 10 of the bestselling authors in space opera today and a selection of titles pulled right from Amazon’s bestsellers lists. Also includes never-before-published bonus stories.

Endi Webb - Initiate (Initiate Series, Book 1)
Raymond L. Weil - Moon Wreck (The Slaver Wars, Book 1)
Jasper T. Scott - The Invisible War (Dark Space, Book 2)
Edward W. Robertson - Titans
Chris Reher - Sky Hunter (Targon Tales, Book 1)
Nathan Lowell - Quarter Share (Trader's Tales From the Golden Age of the Solar Clipper, Book 1)
Autumn Kalquist - Legacy Code (Fractured Era, Book 1)
G. S. Jennsen - Starshine (Aurora Rising, Book 1)
Isaac Hooke - A Second Chance (The Forever Gate, Book 2)
Jay Allan - Gehenna Dawn (Portal Wars, Book 1)
Those two books above that are second in a series have the first books available for free as well:

Today only - The 13th Golden Age of Science Fiction Megapack, Lester del Rey (Vol. 2)

The Monday freebie from the good people at Wildside:

The "Golden Age of Science Fiction" MEGAPACK™ ebook anthologies are designed to introduce readers to classic science fiction writers who might otherwise be forgotten. Lester del Rey—one of the all-time greats of the science fiction world—had been well on his way to becoming forgotten before Wildside Press began its reprint program of his classic short fiction. This second volume of his collected short stories includes 10 more great science fiction stories, representing some of his finest science fiction work. Of special note are the stories "Evenson" (his contribution to Harlan Ellison's "Dangerous Visions" anthology) and the novella version of "Nerves" from Astounding Science Fiction (later expanded to novel length).

Included are:

WIND BETWEEN THE WORLDS
EARTHBOUND
DARK MISSION
EVENSONG
THE STARS LOOK DOWN
THE STILL WATERS
THE ONE-EYED MAN
HABIT
NERVES
SPAWNING GROUND

Not SF, but an SF author:
In the Beginning...Was the Command Line
By Neal Stephenson
99¢
http://www.amazon.com/In-Beginning-W.../dp/B0011GA08E

Quote:
Neal Stephenson, author of the sprawling and engaging Cryptonomicon, has written a manifesto that could be spoken by a character from that brilliant book. Primarily, In the Beginning ... Was the Command Line discusses the past and future of personal computer operating systems. "It is the fate of manufactured goods to slowly and gently depreciate as they get old," he writes, "but it is the fate of operating systems to become free." While others in the computer industry express similarly dogmatic statements, Stephenson charms the reader into his way of thinking, providing anecdotes and examples that turn the pages for you.

Stephenson is a techie, and he's writing for an audience of coders and hackers in Command Line. The idea for this essay began online, when a shortened version of it was posted on Slashdot.org. The book still holds some marks of an e-mail flame gone awry, and some tangents should have been edited to hone his formidable arguments. But unlike similar writers who also discuss technical topics, he doesn't write to exclude; readers who appreciate computing history (like Dealers of Lightning or Fire in the Valley) can easily step into this book.
...

I liked this book quite a bit, myself. I have been working in computers for more than thirty years, and I'm very familiar with the command line myself.

Thanks. Looks like an interesting read. Calibre & Sigil are your friends as far as converting the txt file to something more easily readable. I wonder why he made it so easily available when it's so easy to do so and save the .99 for the paid version.

Because lots of people are willing to spend $0.99 for the convenience of having it instantly in their Amazon account.

I think this was one of the first electronic texts I ever read on my computer. Enjoyed it quite a bit at the time. Well worth the price for the ebook, I would say, if you don't want to convert it yourself.
