Unhappy Small Numbers on Pages in ePUB

When I convert a RTF document to ePUB using Calibre, and then transfer it onto my PRS-700, there is a small number on the right-hand side of the page. On EVERY page. And they go in order to, so on page 2 it starts with "1", then on page 3 it's "2", and so on.... Sometimes the number is towards the top of the page, sometimes its closer to the bottom.

Thing is, my pages are never numbered in Word, so I don't know where these annoying little numbers are coming from. Does anybody else get that? How to do you get rid of them?

Are you sure it's not when you're zooming? This happens on my PRS-505 when I zoom to medium, but isn't there when viewing in smallest zoom, or on any desktop viewers.

You don't get rid of the numbers. They are part of Adobe Digital Editions.

You're right, it's on the smallest zoom level too. I never noticed it before

To me, it's not much of a problem as I can read the word the numbers are covering.
