SONY PRS-505 + AC Charger
I'm selling my SONY PRS-505 plus an AC charger for the reader on eBay:
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...m=180313766871 BTW, am I allowed to post an eBay link here? Last edited by krtekz; 12-20-2008 at 09:10 AM. |

I believe so, but it does pay to be asking a reasonable price for the item, and also say that you will only ship to the USA - this is a multinational group and many of the people who want to buy will be from outside the US (particularly because the 505 is not much available outside the US, so there is demand).

Why would anyone only ship to the US? Why restrict yourself to only 5% of your potential customers for a sale?

That's because Ebay/Paypal US provides no protection for transactions between a non-US buyers and a US sellers.
Also I think that, despite having only 5% of world population, US should command 30% of world GDP and probably even larger share of the gadget market. Not trying to argue, just sayin' |

But that's an issue for the buyer, not the seller. If the buyer's willing to "take the risk" (and personally, I've never had a problem with an eBay transaction, despite having done hundreds both as a buyer and a seller), why should the seller care?

This is my first time selling anything on eBay, so I want to keep it simple.

Actually, the buyer has a HUGE advantage over the seller (OP keep that in mind!)

(It generally comes down to two issues: the PayPal guarantee, and the hassles of international shipping.) |
