PRS-T1 Has anyone tried update Version 2.0.00.07121?

I didn't see any posts about this. Wondering if anyone has volunteered their T1 as a guinea pig for the latest update. I'm too much of a scaredy-cat to be the first one

At first I was excited that maybe there was a firmware update for the T1 to add some of the T2 features, which would be a BIG change for Sony from previous history. However, the version upgrade refers to the Sony Reader software.

Here is a list of new features from the Sony Support website. The list looks the same for Mac & PC versions.

Looks like maybe Sony has tried to improve the syncing features and perhaps brought back more control like the old Reader software had. It's probably worth updating since it can't get much worse than it already is, especially if the UI design and performance is truly improved.

OK. I updated. The improvements are underwhelming. It is faster at loading and scrolling with a large library. The collections page is still very slow. The UI design isn't that much different. You can now distinguish between Reader Store purchases and All Available Books. Too bad there isn't a third option of "all but Reader Store purchases". There also is still no search box which is really annoying for large libraries.

Well, that sounds rather underwhelming!
At least it doesn't seem to have caused you any problems.
