Google Earth gets better with updated data

Great news... Google Earth just got better! They've added/updated data for existing and new cities. For instance, major cities like NYC and Chicago can be zoomed even closer now! From Keyhole:

---

This new database has over 100 added/updated cities. It also updates the BBS layers to a snapshot from August 5th.

For new users, this will be your first major database update... enjoy!
NOTE: the new data should appear automatically. No software update is required.

I don't use XP at home, so I haven't been able to experience Google Earth... sounds pretty good though!

There is a difference in some cities that I am more familiar with. Doesnt seem that one needs to update Google Earth to see th new images, though there is an update availiable.

Nope, since the updates happen on Google's servers which you login to when you start Google Earth.
