Still doesn't look good (triton 2). 50/50 chance that kindles get it anyway. Amazon will be at a loss as to how to innovate next (next gen kindle post-pw) so they might go for it, even though it's just as bad as it was before (triton 1). BTW the first video is terrible because it's too dark to see the Jetbook 2. The second video is significantly better.

http://www.the-digital-reader.com/category/liquavista/ Frankly, I think Liquavista blows Triton 2 out of the water and that's why Amazon is perhaps looking into this. Gamma Dynamics is also joining the foray sometime with their ElectroFluidics color display, maybe Sony or B&N would buy GD since it seems that they also aren't interested in Triton 2. |

that liquavista sounds promising. then again, so did Mirasol
it seems the only real change to e-ink so far has been the addition of "front" litghing. it is what makes colors seem brighter and provides the extra contrast. no real upgrade for the screen itself glare is something that will never truly go away with plastic. I want a real paper anyway, good to know soon enough we'll get to be read vooks with videos and narration and finally get away with lame literacy... |
