Hi from Australia.
Hello! My name is Amanda (but, of course, I expect you'll all just be calling me Ragnarok!) and I'm a bit of a bookworm! That being said, I clung to paper books for a quite a while, and didn't get my first reader - a Kindle Keyboard - until last year! Well, that device has been stolen, so now I'm waiting for my new Kindle (the $89 one, with buttons) to ship out to me!
I'm pretty uneducated as far as e-reading goes. I've been using Calibre for a while, but I only use it as a backup and a metadata-fixer more than anything. I'm going to start using it to manage my collections once I get my new Kindle. Other than that, I don't really know many of the tips and tricks. Nonetheless, I hope to have fun here!

G'Day Amanda and welcome to MobileRead.
I'd tell you to suspect a MobileRead member stole your Kindle but we're such eBook addicts, we'd stop as soon as we grabbed the thing to see who you were reading. And then we'd start reading and reading and you could just stroll over and reclaim your Kindle. |
