UK's Printed Electronics Technology Centre (PETEC) and the Flexible Display Centre (
http://www.plusplasticelectronics.co...tor-11157.aspx
The demonstrator or reference design will incorporate tech strengths from both groups- Organic printed tft backplane and flexible e-paper displays. the goal is to show that the tech is ready for prime time and mass production. But also they hope to show how easily it can transfer to new display tech like OLEDS. It goes on to say that the ereader project will continue after the demonstrator into 2011 and they will then move on to a new display format (oled or amoled?) would someone fix the title i guess it was too long. Just use the article title "UK and US collaboration to create new e-reader demonstrator" |
