Automatic delete from reader

Hello,

My reader is full up so i have been trying to find an option in calibre that deletes news items after a certain amount of days.
I can find the option to delete on the PC but not the reader.

Does it exist?

and where is it?

thanks for your time

Martin

There is no such option. Calibre only deletes stuff from the reader if you explicitly ask it to.

thanks for that clarification.

Is there a way to send news to the sd card rather than the device internal memory instead?

From what I know, news automatically get sent to whatever card/memory has the most free storage space available. I think the only option you have if you want to change that would be running from source and patching the code.

Yes, on the send to decive icon there is a little arrow that will give you a drop down menu... choose send to the memory card you want.
You can also right clock on the book and then select send to device, then the card you want

Your easiest option is to simply delete the news when you finish reading it. Just go to the main page (see attached) of the News in question then press 8 for Utilities, then press 3 for Delete book, then press the bookmark key and the news in question is deleted.

I do this every time I finish reading a book.

News or books if you send them to the device manually they are treated the same.

Eh, yes, of course. You're right. I was thinking only about automatic delivery...
