Vancouver Sun: Kobo e-reader makes getting The Sentimentalists easy

http://communities.canada.com/vancou...ists-easy.aspx

Apparently, there is a new Kobo out and you can get some books early on it that still aren't out through normal channels.

Any reader that can use ePUB books (generally Adobe DRM encumbered) can use the books sold at Kobobooks.com. There are some books that are NOT available in ePUB format, but most are. What Kobo did (and good on them) is to make sure that every one of the shortlisted books for the Giller was available on their site--even if they had to work with the publisher and create the digital version themselves.

Yah, and I hope this is the LAST year an ebook reader manufacturer has to step in to fill the role of the PUBLISHER to ensure the books in Canada's leading non-Government funded arts prize can actually be read and purchased by the public at the height of interest in the books, the authors and the prize.
