Feature request: Turn off images in feeds

Sometimes feeds take a long time to download - mainly due to images. Images is what make them big and slow.

Therefore, I'd love to see the option to turn off images in feeds. It's be best if we could switch images on/off on feed basis, instead of being only able to get 'all or nothing' deal.

You can do this by editing the builtin recipe to create a custom one just add

remove_tags = [dict(name='img')]

to the built-in recipe. If it already has a remove_tags, add

,dict(name='img')

to the end of the existing list.

Thanks for reply, Kovid. I do, however, wanted to have it customizable by user in a more user-friendly form. Some might like news with pictures, some don't - and hence the request.

It's doable, but I have too many higher priority things on my plate at the moment. Feel free to open a ticket requesting the feature.
