E-book viewer with Surface pencil mouse

I can select (words for dictionary lookup) with the mouse left click and drag.

I now use a Surface Pro (windows 8) with a pen mouse. It will not select. Is there a way to make this work? The keyboard mouse works fine.

If you can configure your pen to generate normal mouse events, it should work.

I have checked the configuration. It is configured to show cross hair icon but in the e-book viewer it shows an arrow. (edit...The keyboard mouse (Bluetooth) has the arrow not ebook viewer with the keyboard turned off the pen shows the crosshairs...sorry for the confusion)

Also pen mouse click on the side does not turn the page or left click show the menu. If I open the menu with the keyboard mouse the pen will select the option. a real mystery?

Thanks for the response.
