Recommendations for a friend (Thrillers/Suspense/Police Procedurals Etc)

I'm seeking recommendations for a friend who likes the following authors:

Michael Connelly
Daniel Silva
Nelson Demille
Jonathan Kellerman
Harlan Coben
Stieg Larsson

She doesn't like romance () so preferably no romantic suspense. No paranormal/supernatural elements either.

Thanks!

Have him check out Literature Map here http://www.literature-map.com/

You enter an author's name and click return a new page opens with that author's name in the middle and similar authors arrayed around hm. The closer an author is to the name you entered, the more like him they are.

BTW, if he likes Michael Connelly, she should check out Robert Crais and Jon Sandford

Brit authors I'd recommend for police stuff:

Val McDermid - Tony Hill/Carol Jordan series
Reginal Hill - Dalziel and Pascoe series
Peter Robinson - Inspector Banks series
Staurt McBride
Ian Rankin - Rebus series
John Harvey - Charlie Resnick series
and an old favourite Colin Dexter - Morse series

I recommend Henning Mankell's Kurt Wallander series.

You're speaking my language :-)... Since they haven't been mentioned-- Michael Marshall (the series begins with Upright Man), Joseph Finder (anything but I loved Company Man) and Joseph Garber (start with Vertical Run).

The Ed McBain 87th Precinct series for police proceedurals, the Joseph Wambaugh novels for stories about (mostly California) cops, the WEB Griffin "Badge of Honor" series for both.
