Erwerb deutscher eBooks für Sony PRS

Hallo zusammen,

wo kann ich deutsche eBooks kaufen, die problemlos auf dem Sony Reader (PRS-500) lesbar sind?

Welche Erfahrungen habt ihr gemacht? Was könnt ihr empfehlen?

Mal sehen, wie groß der deutschsprachige Erfahrungsschatz ist...

Ich habe einige Freeware (heisst das Urheberrecht ist abgelaufen) Bücher aus dem Netz (genauer: Binary Usenet) gesaugt. eMule ist auch eine Möglichkeit - allerdings muss man da natürlich aufpassen dass man keine urheberrechtlich geschützten eBooks runterlädt.

Ansonsten konvertiere einfach ein paar Bücher z.B. vom Projekt Gutenberg (Book Designer benutzen).

Laut https://wiki.mobileread.com/wiki/E-book_Reader_Matrix kann der Sony nur das Sony eigene DRM nutzen. Daher kann man zumindest verschlüsselte eBooks nur von Sony Partnershops kaufen. Webshops mit kaufbaren deutschen Büchern in anderen DRM Formaten gibt es haufenweise.

In dem Vergleich sind nur folgende (US) Partner von Sony aufgeführt:
- Random House
- Simon & Schuster
- HarperCollins

Keine Ahnung ob die auch was auf deutsch in ihrem Angebot haben. Am besten mal selber reinschauen.

Macht ja auch Sinn, daß das nur englische Partner sind, weil Sony den Reader bisher ja auch nur dort offiziell anbietet.

Ansonsten bleiben nur unverschlüsselte Bücher für die Anzeige.

Hier kann man auch deutsche Bücher ohne Verschlüsselung z.B. im html Format kaufen. Die sollten dann auch auf dem Sony Reader lesbar sein (ggf. mit der Sony Software konvertieren).

Viele kostenlose ältere "Klassiker" bei denen das Urheberrecht o.ä. abgelaufen ist.

Vielleicht sollten wir eine Liste zusammenstellen von deutschen Webstores, die kommerzielle e-books anbieten.

Allgemein habe ich gute Erfahrung mit dem Microsoft Lit Format gemacht, dass sich (für den privaten Gebrauch) sehr gut in HTML umkonvertieren lässt. Hinterher benutzt man am besten libprs500/calibre, um das File ins Sony Format umzukonvertieren (es geht auch direkt LIT->LRF).
