Stupid question but what are the strong points of the Jotas4 version vs the other available versions?

Maybe ... it's mine?

Best suited for spanish, but just change to your language after booting, zero-config effort, target to be as easy as possible to use and understand by users (menus, languages, options), latest and best modules, libraries and plugins, own-compiled and modified Cool Reader and new DJVU, more options, fonts, font sizes...

You can check always for latest and updated versions here:

Yep, I think I'm feeling a warm breath in my neck...

By the way, today something remind me of you. I've a user that wants me to forcibly convince him about the usefulness of updating the firmware.
Something quite simillar to our common friend J.....I, the photographer.

Gave it a try (Jotas4) and so so far so good. I'm still waiting for the functionality to be able to select which reader I want to use for ePub books (my preferred format). I know that in the new tiGOR 20100113 version there is an option after long-pressing 1-8 you can select the reader (Open). Any chance that can be built into Jotas* or Tirwal?

Thanks anyway for the good work!

Not until new linux kernel is included in firmware. And it is not very stable yet.
BUt you can use a littlke trick:

rename your "book.epub" to "book.epub.fb2" and it will be read by COOLREADER, rename it back and you will have it in ADE.
