Sony 505 oder Bebook Mini

Erstmal Hallo an alle von einem reader-Anfänger !

Nachdem ich mir den ein oder anderen Reader virtuell und real angeschaut habe, drängen sich 2 Reader bei mir in den Vordergrund. Ich erhoffe mir hier nun von Euch eine kleine Entscheidungshilfe.

Für den Sony 505 spricht das Alu-Styling, gutes Schriftbild und nicht zuletzt der Preis (viel mehr will ich nicht ausgeben).

Für den Bebook mini die breite Formatunterstützung und die Geschwindigkeit. Allerdings kann ich hier die Qualität nicht richtig einschätzen. Außerdem müsste ich das Teil ja online in Holland beim Vertreiber kaufen, da das Bebook mini in Deutschland wesentlich teurer ist.

Hat jemand von Euch ein Bebook mini oder so eins schon mal getestet und kann über die Qualität eine Aussage machen?

Nächste Woche will ich auf jeden Fall einen Reader kaufen und dann voll in die digitale Bücherwelt einsteigen.

Hallo und willkommen bei MR!

Wenn Du breite Formatunterstützung suchst, ist das Bebook Mini sicherlich besser. Die Hardware ist erprobt und zuverlässig, die Bebook FW auch nicht schlecht. Der 505 ist sehr solide, leider aber von der Hardware her nicht mehr topp und das EPub-Format kann nur auf dem Sony keinen Blocksatz! Dafür hast du die Sicherheit eines Weltkonzerns hinter der Garantie.

Es läuft so gesehen auf die Frage hinaus, ob du für deutsche Garantie und das Alugehäuse die Schwächen des PRS-505 in Kauf nehmen willst bzw. kannst. Das Gerät hat den Vorteil, dass du es in (fast) jeder Thalia-Filiale ausprobieren kannst, bevor du es kaufst.

Das BeBook mini ist grundsolide, unterstützt wie Sony DRM-ePub, dazu aber eben mit Blocksatz , und die Niederländer sind sehr rührig, was die Firmware betrifft.

Wichtig ist: Wirst du die Formatvielfalt tatsächlich ausnutzen? Wenn nein, macht trotz aller Vorteile des BeBook der Sony mehr Sinn.

Man sollte allerdings noch zu bedenken geben, dass mit dem Cybook Opus und dem Pocketbook 360 zwei weitere SEHR starke Gegner im 5" Bereich vorhanden sind, die auch ihre Vorteile haben und beide mit einer Hartschalenabdeckung daherkommen (die fehlt dem BeBook)!

Für eine vorsichtige Natur wie mich bleibt dabei also ein gewisses Risiko.

Da werde ich wohl eine Münze werfen müssen?!

Das BeBook ist sicher das modernere Gerät. Wir hier bei MR hatten auch noch nie Beschwerden über den BeBook-Support und die Niederlande sind auch nicht soo weit weg (dank EU).

Vielen Dank für den Tipp, Marc! Fast ein wenig teuer, da doch einiges fehlt: MP3-Unterstützung, Speicherkartenerweiterung, befriedigende PDF-Unterstützung z.B.

Den 505 gibt es mit Gutschein schon billiger...

Außerdem taucht der 300 auf der deutschen Website von Sony noch gar nicht auf ...

Hallo,

ich bin auch noch im Entscheidungsprozess, ob nun Sony PRS-505,Bebook mini oder doch noch was anderes. Für mich gelten die 200€ als Schmerzgrenze, daher kommt das Pocketbook für mich derzeit noch nicht in Frage.

Nun habe ich bei lesen.net entdeckt, dass der Bebook mini nun bald in Deutschland vertrieben wird bei bol oder auch bei libri.

Ich dachte, das könnte auch für andere interessant sein.

Ich weiss gar nicht, warum die so hinterherhecheln mit dem BeBook Mini. Die Holländer sind sonst eher von der schnellen Truppe!

Ich kann schon verstehen, dass man sich selbst irgendwo eine Schmerzgrenze setzen muss - dummerweise tummeln sich gerade in der Grenze zwischen 200 und 250 Euro im Augenblick viele interessante und aktuelle Reader.

Bevor man hier also wegen des Preises zu viele Kompromisse eingeht, würde ich doch überlegen, ob die zusätzlichen Euro nicht besser investiert wären. Einen PRS-505 für 199 z.B. würde ich jetzt schon nicht mehr kaufen.

das ist schon richtig, darum dauert der Auswahlprozess auch so lange. Der Bebook mini wäre, sofern die Software gut läuft, aber schon die richtige Richtung.

Ich suche einfach einen gut lesbaren Reader (Kein Touchscreen), der viele Formate möglichst problemlos darstellt. Er dient rein zum Lesen, Notizfunktion wäre nicht nötig, eine Form von Internetanbindung ist eher unerwünscht.

Ein schnelles Umblättern und eine absturzfreie Software, die zudem vom Hersteller weiterentwickelt wird (siehe Pocketbook), wäre auch schön.

Das Design, nun ja, da wäre ich eher zu Kompromissen bereit. Der Bebook mini ist nicht gerade aufregend, da sah mein Taschenrechner vor 25 Jahren schon schöner aus.

Er hat aber ganz nette Ledereinbände, die noch preislich passen würden.

Also alles nicht so einfach.

Der 360er hört sich ideal für Dich an! Nur der Preis ist wohl etwas zu hoch!

Das waren auch genau meine Anforderungen, und es ist ein PocketBook 360° geworden. Nach mehreren darauf gelesenen Büchern muss ich sagen, der Aufpreis zum Sony hat sich voll gelohnt. Wie sagt man so schön, "Wer billig kauft, kauft zweimal!". Ich hatte den Sony 505 im Buchladen ausprobiert, und er war beim Blättern deutlich langsamer als das Pocketbook - man merkt schon, das es eine Generation neuer ist. Auch den Schutzdeckel möchte ich nicht missen. Abstürze hatte ich bisher nur beim selber Programmieren für das Gerät , beim Lesen nie, selbst bei grossen PDFs.
