When in doubt, don't take a chance.
If you have the serial number, you an call Amazon customer service. |

Yes - the serial number is on the end of the box on a label (if my memory serves me) - you can verify it with Kindle CS.

I thought you already had one of those. It's a good piece of hardware, we have 2.

The $130 you paid was about the most I personally would have paid for that tablet. So, don't feel like you stole it from her I've seen them go lower than that (yes, for new in box).
I hesitate to ask, but why were you concerned about replacing yours with an identical model, when there was nothing wrong with yours? As for price, you can probably sell it between $79 to $99 assuming no scratches on screen. I wouldn't sell it, why not have 2? For $20 you can easily put n2aOS on one of them and have yourself a nice KitKat tablet. (actually that $20 would license both of them, but I am certain you want to keep one of them stock). While on the subject of buying and selling, any idea if there is any value to a 1st Gen Kindle (e-ink)? It is an oldie, but a goodie in perfect shape. Has one of the original leather covers.
Seriously, since I got my Fire, I never use this any more. At first I did sync books to it, just in case, but it just sits on a shelf now. Somebody might like it. Or, any worthy organization to which I could donate it? |

A yummy candy bar of course!
Android has given its operating system rather 'sweet' names... Quote:
