Frozen Cruze Reader
I just purchased a Velocity Cruz Reader today. I had it plugged into my net book and rebooted after it recognized it. It was still plugged in and did not see an icon showing that it was recognized, so I simply unplugged it. It was on when it was plugged into the computer and now it is frozen and cannot turn it off. I held the reset down for a full minute, but it is still on and I still cannot turn it off. Can anyone help? Thanks.

Can your computer still see it as a drive? If it can try right clicking the icon for it, (I'm assuming you are in Windows Explorer here), and then select "Eject". Not promising but it might work.

TGS, thanks so much for your response. It would not recognize it. Ended up leaving it on and letting the battery run out. After recharging it, it worked fine. I think I got a funky device however. I have had some other small annoying things going on with it, the latest of which is the power button. Calling customer support tomorrow. Have had it less than a wk. Probably a fluke, if I got a bad one. If I can get another, or they repair it for me, I think I will have a nice device. Thanks again for your response.

The back cover does come off, and the battery can be disconnected and removed (with some patience).
