best choice for me?

Hi.
I'd like to buy a reader, but can't figure out, which is the best for me:

1) Bebook 330€
2) CyBook Gen3 (512 MB) 280€
3) Sony PRS-500 >>used<< 220€

I would buy 1 and 2 on www.justread.de, nr. 3 is used.

What do I want of them?
I want to read Mobipocket, txt and PDF.
If PDF isnt working properly, then it is convertible via Mobipocket on the Desktop PC...

What do you suggest?
Is the price for the Sony 500 too high? (Euro)

Wikipedia is available in Mobipocket form. Is it readable on the devices?

Go for 2), you will not regret it!

and... the 3) it's a no price for a used Sony 500, hell not even for an unused one.

If you want JUST mobipocket with drm support, the cybook is your best bet. The Bebook has Mobi support, but it's less complete than the support for mobi the Cybook has.

I bought the Hanlin (same as the Bebook, but not rebranded) because of the several formats supported. I don't regret it a bit. Good support for fb2, mobi, and lots of other formats. Openinkpot firmware gives you even more options (excluding pdf that isn't supported yet).

I wouldn't buy a sony 500.

The Sony won't read MobiPocket, and that's a crazy price for a PRS-500!

The CyBook has the best MobiPocket support.

Thank You.
I ordered a Cybook now.

But tell me, what would be a >normal< price for the sony 500?
Remember... Germany (shipping).

It's difficult to say. Perhaps €150 might be fair, including shipping. I really wouldn't recommend buying one - the "first generation" eInk screen of the PRS-500 is nothing like as good as the screen of any current device.

There is no normal price because they are no new 500's - at least officialy.
So even at 150 euros, you would still be buying a used reader instead of a new one.

BTW: good choice with the Cybook, you are going to love it!
