Jailbreak options for PW3 on 5.10.1.1
Hello everyone!

I just bought my first kindle ever and would like to jailbreak it so I can use Koreader.

It is a Kindle Paperwhite 3 on firmware 5.10.1.1. I noticed WatchThis Jailbreak works with 5.14.2 - 5.13.4. Does that mean I should update to 5.14.2 and then Jailbreak and then block updates? Or whatever is the best option for my case?

The newest firmware for the PW3/7th gen is 5.16.2.1.1, which is covered with the new LanguageBreak jailbreak. You should be able to jb even if it does autoupdate.

If you want to do the minimum update to avoid the misfeatures of newer firmwares, you can update to between 5.11.1.1 and 5.13.3 inclusive and do the KindleBreak jailbreak, which is easier for some people than WatchThis.
