I cant strip... so any that are Not compatable Please dont list!
I went with Sony to get more Buying Freedom! I know Amazon is locked into Kindles & Barnes & Noble are locked into Nook! I was told Sony works with other sites other than the Sony Reader Store! BTW my son has Literitti which is Locked into Kobo.... BUT will Kobo also work on the Sony? |

Smashwords is one source. Google Books is another.
It is worth getting Calibre and the Apprentice Alf tools and then any book from anywhere will be readable on you and your son's readers. This is stripping BUT it will give you the best range of books available particularly as some are only available on Amazon. |

http://www.robottradingcompany.com/ - science fiction, fantasy, horror etc. And they're DRM free too.

http://www.baen.com/ for SF and Fantasy, with the Free Library to dip into to inform your choices.
I'll reinforce Google Play, though. That's rapidly becoming a very good source for ePubs, once you figure out where to find the download icon! Graham |

+1 for booksonboard.com
Some kobo books are kobo specific (Kobo ePUB) but just make sure you download the standard Adobe epub verison and it should work fine. |

bookviewcafe.com has many DRM-Free books (although you can only pick one format to buy. Still not a problem though, as once it's on Calibre or your e-reader you can format shift all you like).
if you like Romance novels, Carina Press and discoveranewlove.com have DRM-free selections Of course there are all the usual public domain offerings at MR library, Project Gutenberg, Feedbooks, etc. Baen Books is popular for their DRM-free book library as well as books to buy (Sci-Fi and Fantasy). |

Most book stores mentioned above are in the list at the following link, but there's a few more also listed in the UK:

If your library uses Overdrive for its ebook collection, the Sony can use that and download directly to the reader. I usually use my desktop to browse and reserve; then when the book is available I log in with my Sony and downlaod it.
