Bummer on the sick baby boy. Though they do seem to go through bouts of it early and often.

Oolong here as well. A mug of Song Zhong Dan Chong from TeaSpring. Very nice.

He seems. To handle it well. He is napping on Mom right now. His forehead feels normal to me which makes me think his fever is gone, at least for the moment. It is a bleechy day, rain and wind. I might be breaking out my favorite rainy day Chinese black tea.

China Black. Good idea! Even though the sun is out, I think a bit of Keemun Xian Zhen is on order.

He is eating well but his throat hurts after he eats. Poor little guy is curled up on my chest, sucking his thumb, and crying. Hopefully he will drift off to sleep in a little bit.

Good morning, everyone! It's a beautiful day and I'm ready for it. I have a big mug of Ahmad's "English Breakfast" tea beside me, typing with one hand while I chow down on a grilled chicken breast held in the other. Got some 'honeydo's' to do today so it will be an around the neighborhood sort of day, but later this afternoon I plan on a full exploration of the bamboo forest in front of my house. There is an ancient Zen temple in the middle of it, and I want to see if I can get some good photos of the monks doing nothing, maybe even find out just what is the sound of one hand clapping.

Most modern countries have noise pollution laws. Japan isn't one of them. Actually, most of Asia is obscenely loud, with vendors shouting out to customers walking down the street, restaurant owners calling to bring in the lunch crowd, political rally sound trucks blasting their slogans, etc. My hearing aids have 4 programmable settings, one of which I have set to block all sound. Japan can really be quite lovely when its silent. Unless I need to hear people speaking or traffic sounds, I keep them off as much as possible. Unfortunately, I had them turned on when I was walking through the bamboo forest so I could hear the wind, the birds, and cicadas... and the HUMONGUS 10' BELL they chose to ring just about the same time as I was passing the temple...

Bad hotel orange juice. But at least I can get decent tea when I get in to work. (Didn't bring it back to the hotel last night. Mistake!)
