Preferred format for conversion
I note that the Calibre FAQ states that the preferred source formats in decreasing order of preference are LIT, MOBI, EPUB, HTML, ....
First, I note that in Preferences->Behaviour the formats are ordered Epub, Mobi, Lit, HTML. Secondly I'd like to ask why .lit is considered a better source format for conversion than epub? |

If you already have the file in epub, you shouldn't be needing to convert it, but if you do, then it's as good a format as lit.
That list is meant to help someone new to the world of ebooks who comes across books in legacy formats and wants to know what is the best format to try to convert. |
