True: Adobe Digital Editions won't work on Cybook?
Hi
Am browsing the Books on Board site.

So far some books I see and am interested in are in the format:
"Adobe Digital Editions", and I see on their site that Cybook will read

# ALL Mobipocket (.prc) DRM and non-DRM - both OD and PX sourced Moibpocket eBooks
# PalmDoc (NOT pdb)
# HTML
# TXT
# PDF (non-DRM only - Adobe Digital Editions will NOT work on Cybook)

Oh dear, it looks as though a vast swathe of ebooks is denied to my reader...

...and I thought I'd covered this before ordering....

Anything that can be done?

That only means that with the current firmware PDF files with DRM do not work in the firmware. It does not mean they will absolutely never work. As HarryT says, they have announced some ADE support in an upcoming firmware and we expect that will include support for DRMed PDFs (at this point I don't think we can be sure of that).

Considering that pretty much every other firmware vendor who supports MobiPocket has signed up for this deal with Adobe, it seems much more likely that Mobi and Adobe have agreed to permit both DRM systems to be present on the same machine.

While we're on the subject of Adobe files may I enquire, at the risk of being slightly off-topic, why one of my non-DRM files is fully book-markable (& with clickable links to sections at the beginning) and the rest are not.
The adobe files must surely be of very little interest unless book-markable.

Re the story we hear that ADE will be coming to Cybook, let's hope it's true.
