Handhelds built with nanotechnology

According to Reuters, Nokia is aiming to cut the costs for developing mobile phones by using nanotechnology within the next two or three years.

Nanotechnology deals with manipulating particles one-billionth of a meter in size, and promises benefits from a coating of paint that last decades to faster acting and more effective medicines. Ojanpera [Nokia Chief Strategist] said the new technology would only be used in phone components like casings in the first stage.

Can you imagine if one day a PDA will be all i/o form factor. Wireless power transmission and nanocomputers all in a module that plugs into your favorite form factors. Or maybe the module is so cheap that every form factor has its own nanocomputer that is pinhead-sized and costs $1 to produce!
