All-round device,or specialized E-book? - Page 3

I use multiple platforms. I do most of my reading on my iPad now, but I use my Sony 505 for things like reading in bed (I can hold it with one hand) and backpacking (smaller, lighter and much longer battery life than the iPad). I also read on my iPhone at times since it's the one device I always carry.

I'm a dedicated device person. Sony Touch for reading, Zune for my music. I don't feel the need to be connected to the internet 24/7, and I hate talking on the phone, so those are the only 2 devices I carry with me.

My wife has just suggested I buy a netbook for our next holiday as she believes my notebook is too big to lug on a plane when all we use it for is uploading our camera pics. (Internet is BANNED whilst away

).

Now do I install Foxit to read PDF reference books on?..... complications....complications...

At least I can take my Sony ereader and know it does just the one thing and exceedingly well....without all those distractions!
