Amazon returned the duty it collected from me when I bought a Kindle months after the purchase, stating that the duty wasn't collected on that item at the border. I did not contact them to request that they do so, and it was a pleasant surprise.

Three more:
Their business model is based on massive tax-avoidance (we are talking billions $$$).
They treat their temp employees like crap.
As of 2009, they don't give to charity.

This is the same for many companies.

The tax avoidance works because of a loophole between the Dutch and Irish laws. At this moment, the Dutch government is (finally) taking steps to close it. (And AFAIK, even if the Irish do nothing, their side of the loophole will be useless, at least in combination with Dutch law.)

Many companies treat their employees like crap, even the non-temp ones.

Many companies only give to charity because it earns them more, with regard to tax they don't have to pay.

That's about what I wanted to post here yesterday when my browser crashed and took my rant with it.
Tax avoidance seems to be a major part of their business model.

A further pet peeve of mine is the way they are buying competitors and shut down any part of their business that competes with their own (just look at the Bookdepository's ebook operation). It is high time for the anti-trust authorities to take a closer look at Amazon.

Their business model is based on providing great service and low prices to customers.

Whining about perfectly legal tax planning is something that should be done to the governments that passed those laws, not to people who follow those laws.
