Thanks for the update, it now detects my i9100 and i can copy files fine

Just one question , I want to save the books to my external sd, but it does not put the file in the my eBooks directory, it just make loads directory's in the root and it looks messy.

But if i save to my internal sd memory it saves the books inside the eBooks folder and everything is fine.

Any idea why it works fine on the internal sd memory but not the external sd?

thanks

John.

The android driver by default puts files into the root of the SD. If you want to change that, you can customize the driver via Preferences->Plugins

Your device has to show up as a disk in windows for calibre to be able to detect it.

Hi and thanks,

My phone does show up as a device in windows when I first plug it in to my usb hub however, when I click the home button on the phone to view phone contents, it disappears, I guess when I leave Kies. Do I need to disable Kies for this to work. Not sure how to do that.

Completely new to all this. Sorry if I'm missing something very straightforward.

I'm not familiar with your device, so I can't tell you exactly what to do, butin general, look for some sort of "USB disk mode" setting on your device that gets it to present itself as a normal disk when connected via USB.

Thank you so much! I Googled USB Mass Storage Mode for Galaxy S2 and got instructions and the phone is now discoverable. Thanks for your patience. This is all new to me. I've started converting and sending to device. Calibre is a great program. All the best..
