calibre compatibility with various Android readers?
I've converted .txt and .rtf files to ePub, using calibre.
calibre, however, will not recognize my HTC Eris (Android OS) handset (it does not appear in the window above the Search), so I must transfer the ePub result manually, to the SD card. HOWEVER, with Wordplayer the result is that quotation marks and m-dashes are shown as black diamonds with question marks. Obviously a formatting/conversion problem. Perhaps another reader? Another format? I installed FB, iReader, with similar results. ?? Thanks! |

Just wanted to add that Calibre works well with my HTC Incredible and Aldiko.
Note: Aldiko requires new ebooks to be in the /ebooks/import/ folder on your SD card. Calibre does this automatically if you choose "send to main memory" as your default action. |
