Solar Cell Charger

It would be cool if you could include a solar cell charger, esp a solar charging backpack that works with the Edge. I know some of us live in Sunnier areas than I do (PDX) and even if it never charges it fully it could keep it from running out of juice completely till you get home.

We've been looking into solar chargers for the eDGe, but so far everything looks kind of expensive. We will keep looking though.

my Solio Classic keeps it trickle charged just enough to not drain the battery. Finding the correct tip was the difficult part.

How about Goal0 Nomad 7. I saw it on a hunting channel and the guide used it to recharge his gps, cell phone, etc... It has a usb plug and it comes with a female cigarette adapter. It comes with ties to secure it to your ruck sack. Goal 0 makes equipment for expeditions. The Nomad 7 costs $99 and I ordered one. I found the site using my Edge. Henry

I would be interested to know if this works with the edge; it says it is fr handheld devices, i.e. phones. Would it it have enough power for the edge - 7 watts of power does not seem enough.

At the Goal0 site they another model the Nomad 13.5 and several more models that might be a better fit for the Edge. Give them a call. Henry
