Noet: Research App for Classics

I thought this might be of interest to some here:

Noet: The smart research app for the classics

Quote:
Noet is a suite of tools and texts for scholarly work in the classics. The mobile and web apps launch this fall; next comes an even more robust desktop version. Noet serves disciplines that involve original-language research and text comparison—classical studies, philosophy, intellectual history, and more.

The mobile research app will give professors, students, and scholars advanced scholarly resources: original-language tools, fast searches, and side-by-side study of related texts. The desktop version will introduce even more advanced features for original-language research, as well as a social platform for students and researchers to engage the classics together.
You can find more here.

Though the app is not yet available, there are Noet bundles available for pre-order. Please note as well that "Noet is a product of Logos Bible Software, a company with decades of experience in original-language scholarship and ancient texts.".

These works are public domain, and therefore free at numerous places (including MobileRead). I checked their prices and they're rather steep. What are they offering to warrant such high prices?

Maybe this:

Quote:
Scholarly texts

Noet texts are formatted and tagged for deeper study:
  • See Greek and Latin gloss and morphology with a click.
  • For further clarification, jump to lexicons and dictionaries.
  • Compare primary texts and translations, scrolling side by side in sync.
  • Give compelling presentations with elegant slides and presentation media.

Noet is a product of Logos Bible Software, a company with decades of experience in original-language scholarship and ancient texts. Thanks to Logos’ scholarly foundations, Noet lets you explore the classics in ways never before possible.

Original-language data, cross-references, rich media—Noet gives you the academic advantage.

I can also see how they might be adding something of value to works originally written in ancient Greek, but I don't see what they would add to "The Autobiography of Benjamin Franklin."

They might add something, but it's not obvious from their webpage.
