DR-900 price?
Now that the DR-900 is official, anyone any idea about the likely price or release date?

If DR-900 has annotation/scribbling, zoom, go to page, search, and dictionary features, it would be very sweet indeed.

If wifi is available, does it means a basic web browsing capability is a possibility? At $400, I think I'll get one too.
Any word on the clarity of the display??? |

From Electronista:
"official debut of its first e-book reader. The DR-900 centers almost all its interface on a 9-inch, 1024x768 touchscreen and has only minimal buttons on its sides. It's also treated as more than just a book device as it can go online to get news and even supports non-traditional apps." So it does have some online features... Dulin, From the "photoshop" images, it looks very clear. But I guess we just have to wait and see. |

Thanks, scheichxodox!!!
Too bad, the photos does not really show the screen on and the white balance made it too hard to tell how white the screen is. |

that bit about stylus -they wont include a stylus since its capacitive. yes there are capacitive stylus available now but its really meant to be a finger touch input.
i read a thing recently that in Korea there was a run on a particular snack sausage because in the winter there people didn't want to take off their gloves to work their iphones and this sausage- in its plastic wrapper- worked like a finger http://www.tomsguide.com/us/South-Ko...news-5815.html Last edited by Dulin's Books; 03-02-2010 at 07:07 PM. |

Woooohhh...big screen!!!
Thanks for the video link Scion. It looks great and very well build. The screen looks very readable. As you said if it's going to price around $400, it would definitely a contender. One thing for sure, any future readers lacking those basic features would seem silly. |

Reminds me of the phrase good from far, far from good.
It's a step in the right direction though in terms of the chassis. If it were $200, I'd definitely consider it, but higher than that and it's just got too many compromises to be worthwhile. |
