Arc Opinions on the Arc 10HD?

Hi all,

I'm currently researching the Kobo Arc 10HD because it's available for a great price in Canada at the moment, especially when compared to all other Android tablets.

My problem is that my research is only finding "professional reviews"... I can hardly find any "forum threads" or user reviews about this device.

I'm surprised that there aren't even any posts/threads in THIS forum about the Arc 10HD! Because normally this forum is "ground zero" for opinions/information about anything KOBO-related.

Can anyone who currently uses or has previously used the Kobo Arc 10HD post their opinions in this thread?

Pro's
Large very clear colour screen
Well made (solid)
Long battery life
Very good options for altering text size colour etc, highlight
Latest android platform 4.2.2
touch screen
Kobo software (reading life)

Cons
Very heavy
Only kobo bought books stay in collections
No cloud option for non kobo books.
Not many formats natively (need 3rd party for pdf's etc)
No expansion slots

So in a nutshell perfect if all you're books are from kobo store, not so good if using side loaded books (I use Monsanto ereader for pdf CBZ etc).

The Arc 10 HD is on sale at Indigo ($100 off until March 27) and I'm considering getting one.

What is stopping me is an issue reported on some web sites regarding a wifi connection drop when sleep mode is entered. The Arc 10 HD loses the connection when awoken from sleep.

Is there any truth to this?

Do DropBox and Google Drive work on the Arc 10 HD?
(To store all my non-Kobo bought magazines, books, and pdfs)

Are there any major app compatibility problems?

Yip mine loses connection occassionaly while sleeping a quick reboot of the router solves it
Not every time as the article mentions.
Dropbox works fine on mine using the dropbox app
do not use google drive so no opinoon
