I have started to translate a few files to German, but don't really need the localization myself, so any help would be appreciated.

Just private message me and we can surely split this translation up a little.

Any translation for the new 2011 Kindles?

Hi,

did anyone localized successfully a new kindle bought in 2011?

Their firmware says 3.0.2, but indeed it's something new (experts say it's 3.0.4 inside..). The publicly available localizatoin .BIN files does not work :-(

When you copy them into the Kindle, the "Upgrade your kindle" option is grey and the file gets deleted automatically.

Can anybody help on how to fix this?

Thanks,
Thomas

thomasnovak,

Check for new localization versions. It's compatible with new 3.0.2 firmware.

At this moment, Kindle 3 localized to Russian, Ukrainian, Bulgarian, Czech and Poland.

Hi Sir Alex,

Good neeews :-)))

Thanks really very much. It's working! I'll be happy to download the latest version on Monday, but even this is a big approach forward, because the upgrade is working and the Kindle speaks now Czech :-)

Have a great weekend!

Thomas

Hi Sir Alex!

I would like to translate the Kindle 3 to hungarian, but this link does not work, i get a 404 not found error. Could you repost the link please?

Or actually post a link to the original English translation so I can do it from english to hungarian?

I would also like to send the hungarian version when I'm done so you can create the files that I need to update the kindle, hope this is not a problem

Thanks a lot for the help and the great work!

Jambo
