Ich möchte gern für ein zusätzliches Unterforum stimmen. Darin sollten dann aber nicht nur Gratis-, sondern überhaupt Sonderaktionen vermerkt sein, wie zum Beispiel kürzlich der Ausverkauf der Mitarbeiter-Sonys bei Thalia zum Sonderpreis. Ich finde, im englischsprachigen Hauptbereich klappt das sehr gut und übersichtlich mit dem extra Schnäppchen-Forum (vielleicht könnte man es gleich so benennen).

Ich wäre hingegen bei den Unterforen für Geräte etwas strenger und würde den Lesedienern erst dann ein eigenes Unterforum genehmigen, wenn sie tatsächlich im Handel erhältlich sind.

Als Threadstarter würde ich ebenfalls eine klare Strukturierung vorziehen.

Man sollte die ganzen Geräte als SubSubforen in einem Subforum verbannen.

Also Foren für Sony, Kindle, BeBook, iRex usw.
Geräte die noch nicht auf dem Markt sind, können zusammen in einem Subforum stehen, ebenso wie Geräte, die nur wenig Verbreitung finden.

Dann bleibt auf der "Deutschen Seite" genug Platz für "eBooks", "Aktionen", "Lounge", "Software", "Erste Hilfe" und "Markt und Recht".

Besonders im letzteren könnten dann auch Diskussionen über Nachrichten, Urheberrecht und eBook-Formate, DRM etc. stattfinden.

Unterhalb von Aktionen können dann Gratis-Aktionen, Sparaktionen etc. vorgestellt werden.

Apropos Unterforum: Ich denke über kurz oder lang könnte man auch ein Unterforum "Kaufberatung" einführen (wie "Which one should I buy?" im englischen Bereich). Im Moment sammelt sich das alles bei "Andere Lesegeräte" und mittlerweile gibt es ja auch in Deutschland so viele Geräte, dass Neulinge eine Beratung gut gebrauchen können

Zum Thema Freebies:
Warum nicht das internationale Forum kopieren und neben Gratis Aktionen einfach auch Links zu gemeinfreien Angeboten etc. mit reinnehmen und alles in ein Unterforum packen?

Hmm.

Da wir ja schliesslich Teil eines internationalen Forums sind, wäre eine totale Reorganisation wie von gromit vorgeschlagen, wohl eher suboptimal. Was ein Subforum angeht, so war das Aufkommen an solchen Gratis-und Aktionspost bisher vernachlässigbar. Daher ein Vorschlag zur Güte: Wir machen einen einschlägigen Thread und taggen die Posts ordentlich aus und wenn das Aufkommen dann so gross werden sollte, dass Verwirrung aufkommt, können wir über ein Subforum reden! Ist das für alle so hinnehmbar?

Für mich auf alle Fälle. Die Zahl der Gratusaktionen wird ja nach Weihnachten wohl sowieso wieder abnehmen. Da finde ich ein eigenes Unterforum etwas übertrieben.

Bei Droemer-Knaur gibt es als Adventzuckerl einen Krimi in 24 Kapiteln als Gratis-eBook - jeden Tag ein Kapitel.

Das glaub ich nicht. Ebooks müssen immer noch mit Aktionen groß beworben werden. Und nach Weihnachten kommt Neujahr, Valentinstag, Karneval, Ostern ....
