Questions about spare K1 battery

I know there some here who know about the K1 Lithium-Polymer battery. I bought an extra one for my one-year-old K from BatteryShip. When it came I put it in the K and it was partially charged, as it showed three bars.

I gave it a full charge, then used it until it got down to one bar, recharged fully, and then took it out and put the original battery back in. I put the new one in a ziplock bag and in a drawer.

OK, finally, the questions:

1. How long will the charge hold in this spare battery, not being used or connected?

2. Would it be prudent to put it back in and recharge periodically?

3. If so, how often?

OR

4. If I just leave it alone, will it eventually lose all its charge, and if so, will it be harmful just to leave it alone until needed, and then give it a full charge?

Let your battery completely die a few times, as it will expand its internal capasity.

From everything I've read, this is not necessary for Lithium-Polymer batteries, as it was for older types.

I still wonder about an unused, fully charged bettery of this type as in my OP. Does it ever need charging, or will it continue to live until needed, without any attention.
