Talking Sony PRS-505 Covers on Clearance at Target

Yesterday at the Target store in Selma, TX, I found both the pink and black leather covers for the Sony PRS-505 on clearance for $9.99. I have already bought the cover with the light, but couldn't resist getting this for possible Christmas present/backup.

If you have a Target in your area, and you want the cover for a great price, might be time to head off and scrounge through the Clearance sections. They are usually located on the endcaps.

Good Luck and Good Hunting!

Anyone Found These or Other Accessories

I was wondering if anyone else had found these at their local Target. I am hoping that perhaps the chargers might show up as well, so I can pick up a couple of them.

Armor--If you want a charger, I recommend (as do several others on here) purchasing a Sony PSP charger. Can get these for quite a bit less $, and they work just as well as the more pricey ones Sony sells for the reader.

Hmmm, clearance sale on a new to Target item. What could *that* mean?

Our Target has the covers on "clearance" from $39.99 to $27.99.

Thanks for the information on the PSP chargers. I did this when I got my 505, but I was looking for them more as for Christmas presents.

I would still give a PSP charger as a present. Most of them are much smaller and better-looking than the big brick that Sony sells, and they often have car plugs as well for recharging on the road. There's no cachet in having an 'official' Sony brick imo.

Because the 505 has only recently been released in the UK we still have to pay full price for all our accessories.

One thing that's good for people in the UK considering a Sony reader to know is that the Sony Centre network do seem to be keeping all the bits and pieces in stock rather than making you order them 'sight unseen'... the one in Bristol had the whole lot on display when I paid them a visit on Monday.

I went to Target today but, sadly, could not find any clearance covers. They did finally have the display for the Reader up. They had one or two items of each except for the charger which was all gone.

Would that be the PSP 2000 Travel Charger? http://www.handhelditems.com/2000-tr...r-p-12560.html

Also, if I do not use a Sony A/C charger, would that void my warranty or not?

Thanks for the tip OP.

Went into target a few days ago to check out something else and stumbled upon the last cover there.

The packaging was a bit damaged (not the case itself though) and it didn't look like the cover had it's own rack. An employee prob. found it in the back and through it into the Reader display section.

I can say that was $10 well spent. It's also a better quality cover than the one that came with the reader.

The Target store in Valdosta Ga has 6 on the shelf for $16.49...no readers though. They put them on final clearance last week for $79.99 and sold the remaining 4 they had. I wasn't one of the lucky ones.

Got one of the $16.24 lighted covers here in Tulare, CA. (it's a God forsaken place that nobody has ever heard of) The 505 readers are still going for $279 however. Thanks to the OP for the tip
