A token for current path
Is there is function or token for the current path which I could use in replace?
Right now I get my one big html file out of OCR with a long list of bookmark ids. When the big html file is split the ids don't have the long path appended so they don't appear in any file for links. So I'd like to be able to append the current path in a S/R, then they will pop up in the TOC or elsewhere. |

Huh? I thought when you split a file, the editor kept track of and updated the links...

@mrmikel
Gleaned from a series of your posts: You are fighting a system that works fairly well. Sigil split will adjust links to all existing files (NB deleting a file that has a link will result in a broken link that will need repair by hand) Using Sigil split : Immediate: Ctrl-Enter Insert Marker (for later): Ctrl-Shift-Enter Split at Markers: F6 id on <h# tags are not needed if you use chapter per file as Top of file is assumed for the TOC |

It works fine when I bring it in, but after I change name= to id= it breaks all the links. That is the sequence, and it doesn't have anything to do with splits.

Changing the name of all "name" attributes to "id" shouldn't break any links ... provided the original hrefs pointing to those names/ids were valid to begin with.

My fault, inconsistent conversion by the OCR program. I will have to check the output more carefully. The links are there all the time, but anchors only most of the time, not all the time.
My new first step is to click on all the links in the TOC to see which are broke. Last edited by mrmikel; 10-03-2014 at 10:15 AM. |
