Hi Kovid,
i'm not sure if i ask in the right place but hope you can help anyway. i try to use wordplayer on android and calibre on linux mint 7. Calibre (0.6.28) starts just fine but it doesnt see my htc magic and i can't connect to the server from the htc either (with message:cannot find server). my ip address on local wifi is 192.168.0.100 but when i open server log in calibre it says: ENGINE Serving on 0.0.0.0:8080. Test server produces webpage with 127.0.0.1. Do you have any idea what server address should i use? (btw, none of these allow wordplayer to connect) thanks. |

If the phone is on the same network as your computer the 192.x address should work. There was a bug in the HTC linux USB driver which is fixed in 0.6.32, try that.

Yes, empty. It is recognized as removeable drive and when you click on it, it says insert disc.

I have no idea, try formatting it. But really you should ask on the HTC forums/people who own this device.

Thanks for trying to help. I can't get the thing to sync with 2 computers and googling has only resulted in others having more problems than me. Why don't I feel blessed?
