What I want to know is why Fictionwise is not supporting DRMed ePub when more and more readers will be supporting ADE?

Could it be that they have no distributor for it? AFAIK Lightning Source, which is their primary distro, does PDF, MS Reader and eReader/Palm. I don't know who BoB's source is for ePub, but if it's Over Drive then that means FW can't get ePub's since OD dropped them.

I would like to buy these books for my nieces but they don't like eBooks or else by now I would have bought them.

Hmmm I was avoiding this series, not sure if I'd like it or not but as it will now be in effect free I'm gonna take the plunge. Thanks for the heads up.

I'm tempted to get them just for the MicroPay. Been meaning to buy myself some MicroPay credits and with this, at least I get a few books free. Albeit, I somehow doubt I'll actually read them. I tried reading the first book (lotsa screaming fangirl cousins with pbook) and I nodded off on the first page...

Wahy to ruin eBooks B&N. Take ePub and make it even harder for people to deal with and we'll be right back to square one waiting for a new format to come along to take over. This is a bunch of malarkey. We need less DRM, not more and especially not more confusing DRM. I think B&N are doing this in order to kill off ePub in order to be able to push eReader (needs to go away).
