Zum Lesen im Sand am Strand und anderswo (z.B. im Bad):

Manche Leute trauen sich, einfach passend große Zipplock-Kunststoffbeutel zu nehmen. Es gibt aber auch spezielle Taschen (mit fällt dazu grad folgender uralter Link in die Hände, aber sowas gibts an allen Ecken und Enden ... Such mal bei go... etc.)

Ansonsten: Passe. Musst Du wohl selbst ausprobieren

Die Lesegeräte sind zerbrechlich und sollten vorsichtig behandelt werden. Der Kauf eines Covers ist auf jeden Fall eine vernünftige Investition.

Punkt 3) gibt es, hatte z.B. justread.de bis vor kurzem angeboten. Der Shop hat zwar geschlossen, aber vielleicht kannst Du trotzdem noch eine Email mit der Frage nach genauen Produktinformationen hinschicken.

Punkt 2) Wenn Wasser auf das Gerät kommt, wirst Du es mit Abwischen höchstwahrscheinlich ohne bleibenden Schaden retten können. Welches von den beiden Gläsern dabei allerdings den Kürzeren zieht...?

Es gab vor Jahren mal irgendwo einen wundervollen "eReader gegen P-Buch, Ein Test im Bad" US-Blogeintrag in dem jemand mit dem Kindle I - eingewickelt in Cellophan-Folie - zum Baden und Duschen ging. Klasse Fotos dabei. Der Eintrag kam zustande nachdem wieder irgendwo jemand gesagt hatte "Aber mit dem eReader kann man ja nicht in die Wanne".

Das Beste am Test war das Bild mit dem ebenfalls dick in Frischhaltefolie eingewickelten Taschenbuch neben dem einwickelten Kindle und der Aufforderung in der Bildunterschrift (sinngemäß) "Und jetzt blättern die P-Buch-Befürworter mal bitte die Seiten um! - Beim Kindle geht's problemlos."

Da sollte man auch mit Aquapac wegen der Luftfeuchtigkeit und Temperaturdifferenz aufpassen, Stichwort Kondenswasser.

Am Strand hatte ich keine Probleme mit dem Reader, hatte aber nur 30 Grad, ins Wasser hab ich ihn nicht mitgenommen. Aber mir ist mal ein Schnapsglas draufgefallen (aus ca. 30 cm Höhe), das hat ihm nicht geschmeckt, Bildschirmbruch. Jetzt hab ich ein Cover und der Deckel kommt drauf sobald ich aufstehe. Trotzdem stimme ich für einen unzerstörbaren Reader!

deshalb wollte ich auch den reader von Plastic Logic (Que) kaufen, und wäre bereit gewesen auch deren hohen preis zu zahlen. Ich verstehe immer noch nicht warum man Que nicht auf den markt gebracht hat.
