5 / 162 for me but they are all being replaced (not that I like ereader anyway).

This was just a good reminder to make sure my backups are current.

Well, supposedly I have 0/87 that are affected. Yay!

But, this is definitely an example of why I prefer no-drm and remove drm on my purchases.

This must be the reason - like an earlier poster noted - that Fictionwise is missing a large contigent of new releases this week. I can't continue to shop at Fictionwise if they aren't providing the new releases.

As far as I know, they only received their secure MS Reader stuff from 2 sources: Overdrive and Lightning Source. I could be wrong, but in any case, only 7 of my potentially 56 DRMed LITs are affected.

I have 14, 11 of which have replacements the three that don't really don't bother me as I have read them. I am more concerned about the impact if this were to happen to Books on Board where the majority of my mobi books appear to be from overdrive (at least I presume that the OD stands for over drive)

4/339 for me, but all have a replacement available (not that eReader format helps me much).

Yet another reason to keep backups of your books, or better yet, strip the DRM and then back them up.

23/283. Not bad, really. And I've already downloaded the 23 eReader replacement ebooks. Yay!

Hmmm.... Let's see what changed?

Fictionwise purchased eReader and went from being an Overdrive customer/retailer to being an Overdrive customer/retailer/competitor.

No that couldn't be it. Surely Overdrive wouldn't callously ignore the interests of the consumer over something like that. There must be a more simple explanation.

Hmmm....

Selfishly none of my ebooks were in scope. Hopefully Mobipocket doesn't pull this too.

I wonder if this will shut down the Fictionwise/Libwise library service? They are all in mobipocket format.

With the exception of a few ebooks I purchased when I first got my ebookwise-1150 all of mine were MS Reader, too. I guess it has more to do with the publisher.
