Post Backing up Calibre

Hi

I've managed to get book Series to successfully transfer to my Kindle as a Special Title so I now know which order to read my books in.

I now want to make sure I backup all the important Calibre files so I can restore in the event of a future problem. My backup program allows me to create a script to ensure I back everything up.

I am backing up
-my books
-metadata.db file stored with my books
-files in C:\Users\User\AppData\Roaming\calibre

Are these all the important files? I've assumed the files in c:\program files\calibre are all created by the installer so I do not need to back them up.

Are there any registry settings I need to backup?

Thank you for your help

Sounds like you probably have everything.

When you say you are backing up 'my books' I assume you mean the folder and everything within it (which includes the metadata.db file) - if so, that is everything in your calibre library. The files under your User are all the calibre preferences for that user.

As you correctly surmised, you do not need to back up the binaries - these can always be re-instated by simply re-installing calibre.
