A day of rain, rain, and torrential rain. Sigh. If I'd wanted summers like this, I'd have moved to the Prairies. Ah, well, this too shall pass.
First Peet's Major Dickason's coffee, since I needed to get jump started. Now, Peet's Scottish Breakfast Blend tea - with the bit of Lapsang Souchong in it, it goes well with this sort of day. |

Yech. Mostly I'm just whinging, but it really has been a wetter than "normal" early summer. And this much rain this late in June is quite unusual. But honestly, we're all going to have to "get over it" on the "usual" or "normal" weather.
Diet coke for now. |

Well early in the morning, about the break of day,
I ask the Lord, "Help me find the way!" Help me find the way to the promised land This lonely body needs a helping hand I ask the Lord to help me please find the way. When the new day's a dawning, I bow my head in prayer. I pray to the Lord, "Won't you lead me there?" Won't you guide me safely to the Golden Stair? Won't you let this body your burden share? I pray to the Lord, "Won't you lead me please, lead me there?" ( http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jE8NSvD7LSE ) Good morning, everyone! I just saw a line of animals, in twosies, heading for this interesting wooden boat... Man, when it rains in Thailand, it really rains! I was lucky to catch a break in the clouds long enough to go down to the food lady in front of the building. What ever it was she gave me is still burning my mouth, but boy was it delicious! A couple of hard boiled eggs and some sour sausage and rice with it... Add in a couple of mugs of Ahmad's "English Breakfast No.1" ('cuz it has some Lapsang Souchong in it,) and it makes a great way to start the day! I wonder if there will be floods this year. Most years there are, though we don't live in the flood zone. I've seen years when people were fishing (casting hand nets) in the middle of what normally is a night bazaar area in the middle of the city, and the day after the waters receded, was a night bazaar once again. 2009 Lytton Springs Zinfandel. Yum.
A rough day today, lot's of last minute vacillation, typical of this sort of project. We go live tomorrow in beta, and for real on Friday. So NOW, after refusing to discuss it or be part of it, everyone wants to tell us what we did wrong and absolutely MUST change. Fortunately, the two people running this thing are not going to play silly power games. We publish. And I drink red wine and get the headache. Since I already had one, I could barely notice the extra. TTFN. |

Seven Sons Bing Puerh.
It is going to be one of those days. Baby Boy really does not like staying in his crib. We built the habit over 11 Months so I suppose it is unfair to expect him to break it in 6 nights. That said, I really wish the people who say their kids slept through the night from month 2 on would just stop saying it. I know there are some kids who do that but I am guessing most people are rewriting history and just don't know it. |

Started with Anniversary Breakfast Blend, then Lapsang Souchong. It's still wet here, though today looks to be the last really drenching day for a while. Meanwhile, the last two days of work before we officially go live. So heads down and barely taking a break all day.
