Calibre azw plugin crashes

Hi,
Haven't had a lot of time sifting through all threads here and there - The one I followed suggested downloading azwplugin v104 but after importing it into calibre following my attempts to convert an epub to azw calibre crashes.

I have tried the azw3 and that seem to work, however I believe azw is what Amazon (Kindle White WiFi + 3G) supports best.

The pc version of kindle don't seem to be able to resolve book covers when converting to mobi, azw3 hence me trying other plugins...

Is there a working azw plugin available for download ?

This is the error Calibre throws when using azwplugin v104...
Spoiler:

I'm a little puzzled. You don't need to use a plugin to convert books to AZW3 format - just use the normal Calibre conversion options.

Remove the plugin and restart calibre.

Latest news (2011/09/08):
There is already a native solution to the problem. Please check here for details.
As seen in the quote above, the plugin was limited to fixing one small item that had nothing to do with the basic book format and since then even the plugin developer updated the post with the plugin explaining it is no longer needed.

It is easy to be confused. AZW3 is the format you're looking for.

I know azw3 works, but it seem that azw is what kindle supports best.
One reason for trying the azw plugin was to see if the book cover could be resolved (which isn't the case when opting for azw3.

What do you mean by "resolved"? What problem are you having with the book cover?

AZW, by the way, is simply another name for Mobi, so convert to Mobi if that's your preferred format, but AZW3 is much better - it supports more complex formatting and all modern Kindles work just fine with it.

Sorry if this was unclear...
Resolved as in "bug fixed so converted content also embed the book cover"

epub's converted to mobi and/or azw3 all loose the book covers i.e covers used by kindle when in Cover view mode.

The few azw books I got with the kindle all have valid covers. Content that is converted to mobi and azw3 don't.

I thought including a cover was a conversion (output?) option?
