PRS-600 My prs600 only has 391MB memory. Is anyone same with me?

Today I found my prs600's memory only 391 MB. I don't know why. Original memory is 500MB. Can anyone show me why? Thanks!

One the one side there's the operating system and the dictionaries which need some memory, too. On the other side, Sony made a separate "memory"-partition of about 20MB for the installer which shows up as a separate external drive when connected to a pc (so we cannot use this one).

I don't know how many books you store on your device, but even with my fully loaded reader, there are still some MB left over every time I reload

Try doing a full device shutdown on your reader, not just putting it in sleep mode.

Options>Advanced Settings>Device Shutdown

Then restart your reader. The reboot seems to clear out files or records that are no longer needed.

You might also want to check about some files you might have deleted without emptying the bin (Mac, Linux, maybe Windows).

Thank you very much! I know now. But how can I check dictionaries in memory? May be hide some space for dictionaries? My books put another a disk.

The dictionaries are not visible but they surely use some memory. If possible, I would put the books on the reader instead of memory cards as the readers general speed will be faster
