In my experience, the refurbished Sonys are pretty good. Mine looks brand new - no scratches or pressed down buttons from overuse (minor problems on the reader I sent to them), and it runs just fine. I hope yours gets back to you soon! |

Ah, warranty. Forgot about that No, my warranty expired - I've had my reader since 2007. They sent me the same color, but mine was silver. I hope you get a blue one!

So far, so good. Its weird tho, sometimes it will take FOREVER loading a book. Sometimes it shuts down and when it restarts it's at the main menu but I lose whatever progress I made with any other book I was reading-pages numbers, bookmarks. Same thing for the font changes, sometimes it works and sometimes it shuts the reader off. It takes forever loading no matter what but the pages aren't messing up when the books actually open-it's just getting the book to open. Only have 7 books on the reader, and am not using a memory card. I am reading LRF format, as the LRX does not work and epub looks so...eww. I wonder what it is, I remember it doing this when I had a bunch of books on it, but even when I was using my memory card (which has about 175 books) it was never this slow loading. I wonder if it's something I'm doing with my books when I convert them over or if it's the reader. I don't have this problem reading on my 600, but I read the LRX formats; don't know if that makes a difference. Is this happening a lot, or is it normal? It seems like ever since they starting switching things there have been a lot of complications but that's to be expected.
Who gives a flying blue poop!!?? I have my 505 back!!!! Any thoughts on the slow loading? Doesn't really matter too much but since I'm impatient if there's a way to fix it...... Thanks!! Last edited by emonti8384; 01-10-2010 at 10:52 AM. |
